Mask yourself is the only advise we hear these days , External mask help us avoid the virus, what about the mask we wear to redefine our virtual identities ?
Today's world of virtual exploration has pushed society to adopt a virtual life, full of Masks and multiple identity links, leading our mind to be in a constant pressure to be the best and compete in almost everything which one can imagine.
In this rat race of shows we forgot to kindle our inner-self and run for the joy dripping from the nectar of social sites , where we post almost everything without blinking to think personal or social, from relationships to first night of wedding to morning breakfast and night dress all linked to social phobia which is intense anxiety of being judged .
Mask the person with any outer facade and bury his soul to grave, competing world of today leveas us with no choice but to wear a mask and hide our Fears , Insecurities and Anger.
To achieve a false sense of judgment we start gardening seeds of virtual friends which looks appealing and great over a period of time and takes us away from the realities of life, best photoshopped version on the social platform fetch us more n more likes, just to make us feel more wanted n desired.
we all carry different mask to serve our need for different identities , albeit we fall in love with the outer facade and forget to realise who lives within, in the pursuit of virtual Pride , Name , social status, the " Little Me" is buried with the burden of Mask we wear.
Constantly we Glam the mask and keep up the best virtual image people can remember and fall in love with, no one knows how Broken or Aloof we are, burden of Big Image also takes away the chance to be close to those who really love us or can be with us in difficult times.
Constant Validation and Instant Likes is the new dopamine to brain, number of followers on Insta matters more than the actual people who love or care for us.
likes on Face book matters more than anyone liking you in person, we can't bring much changes in our home or children or spouse but when it comes to voice our judgement or opinion , we can see rage on Twitter.
Our true identities are Suffocating to Death only because we don't allow the " Little me" to pop out and breathe fresh air of resilience and truth.
we are afraid how people will judge and interpret us , that is why we are getting away from our inner-self and look outwards for artificial recognition and happiness.
Throw away this Mask which is taking away your glory of being a unique loving and beautiful individual.
Let that inner child jump in joy do silly acts, click impromptu, show the real me, bask in the Sun of "Truth and Life "
No one can carry mask for a very long period of time !
Dropping the mask and bringing out your original face is the whole Alchemy of Life .
Don't kill the "Innocent Me" π
